We have just learned that Rivendell is cancelling forthcoming retreats due to the coronavirus. Everyone who had booked to come is being refunded.

The retreat will be rearranged at a later date.

This is one of West Kent Triratna Buddhists' regular Sangha retreats. In addition to our own Sangha it is also open to those over 18 who are members of other Triratna Sanghas or who have been on another Triratna retreat.



                   

We are returning again to Rivendell. It's a stunning place, an old vicarage in the quiet village of High Hurstwood near Crowborough, with comfortable beds, a dedicated shrine room and extensive grounds, including its very own private woodland.

Over this weekend we will be taking a look at the Anapanasati practice - it's the advanced version of the Mindfulness of Breathing in sixteen stages that can take you all the way to Enlightenment. We can't promise we'll go that far in a weekend, but we can promise a chance to take your practice deeper and explore some elements of Insight work.

The retreat price includes all your food and accommodation for the weekend. Please be aware that unless you have particular reasons, you will be in a shared room.

The West Kent Triratna Buddhists are part of the Triratna Buddhist Community (formerly the Friends of the Western Buddhist Order). The group is led by Order Members Nagarakshita, Vidyakaya and Vidyaketu. We have a strong emphasis on Sangha and friendship and making dharma practice a part of our everyday lives.
